Kate Arthur oversees business and software development at DMCS Inc. Kate has over 18 years international marketing and communications experience in Entertainment and Media industries. She joined DMCS Inc. in 2008 to create a web team to join Darren Marshment’s IT services. She is well-equipped to manage social media, brand, design and promotion to compliment the website development process. About Kate Originally from the UK, Kate spent her childhood overseas in South America, Africa, and the Middle East. Her family settled in Montreal in the 1980’s and, after graduating from Concordia University in 1995, she gained experience in Montreal as a public relations intern at Just for Laughs before leaving off to travel again. First stop was for Communications work in the London, UK, where she met now-husband IT consultant Darren Marshment. Kate’s career as a Communications professional lead her into the Entertainment industry, where she worked with leading directors, producers, comedians and actors in theatre, television, film and radio, throughout Europe and Canada. When Kate and Darren moved to Montreal in 2001, Kate joined CBC/Radio-Canada while Darren started the IT business, then known as Darren Marshment Computer Services. In 2008, Kate left her position as Communications Manager at CBC/Radio-Canada to partner with Darren and begin a new career in the IT industry. In 2013, Kate started KidsCODEJeunesse, a not for profit that bring computing into Canadian classrooms.
